The film tells the story of an alien named PK (played by Aamir Khan), who comes to Earth to study human behavior. However, he loses his communication device and is unable to contact his spaceship. PK befriends a television reporter, Anushka Sharma, who helps him get his device back. As PK navigates through Indian society, he exposes the harsh realities of corruption, bribery, and religious exploitation.
