The film stars Shah Rukh Khan as Om Prakash Makhija, a struggling actor who was once a child artist in the 1990s. After a 10-year hiatus, Om gets a second chance at stardom with a TV show called "Aankhen" and falls in love with the lead actress, Nisha (played by Deepika Padukone).
