One of the main appeals of Instant Roof is its focus on parametric control. Instead of manually adjusting each face, users set numeric values for slope, ridge offsets, and gutter heights; the plugin recalculates geometry to match. This makes it easy to test alternatives—steeper pitches for snow loads, shallow profiles for contemporary aesthetics, or different overhang widths for shading—without rebuilding the roof from scratch. The resulting model remains native SketchUp geometry, which integrates smoothly with scenes, materials, and any downstream export workflows.
