The film picks up where the sixth installment left off, with Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his crew mourning the loss of Han Lue (Sung Kang). However, their grief is short-lived, as they soon find themselves being hunted by Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham), the brother of Owen Shaw (Luke Evans). Deckard seeks revenge against Dominic and his crew for their role in taking down his brother.
